KOKOH

“Fortune is found in risk—just don’t lose yourself in it.”

Pronounced “Go-Go,” KOKOH takes its name from the Taiwanese pronunciation of “older brother.” The name is rooted in the culture of male forms of address within Chinese-speaking society. The word ge—meaning “brother”—is commonly used by men as a respectful term for an older man, or for someone of greater ability or social standing. In a single syllable, it establishes both connection and a sense of social boundaries between men.

KOKOH was founded upon the decade-long journey of its founder, known as the “Shopping General,” waiting for his moment in the industry—and the courage it took to risk everything when that moment finally came.

The brand is dedicated to creating clothing that helps you present yourself with greater confidence and dignity—clothing made to endure, both in quality and in style.

Life is meant to be pursued with courage. Take risks, chase what you believe in, but never lose yourself along the way.

KOKOH 設計核心 Design philosophy

KOKOH 設計概念為「洋皮台骨」版型比例靠攏歐美洋氣&放蕩不羈,細節處望向日式精神,追求布料&染色之美,傳遞的訊息上,則要扣合台灣生活經驗,如同我們的歷史,在文化大海上,尋找屬於自己的那塊浮木。

KOKOH’s design philosophy can be described as “Western on the outside, Taiwanese at its core.”

Its silhouettes and proportions draw from the sophistication and free-spirited attitude of Western style, while its details reflect the meticulous spirit of Japanese craftsmanship. The brand celebrates the beauty of textiles and dyeing, yet the stories it tells remain firmly rooted in the lived experiences of Taiwan.

Much like Taiwan’s own history, KOKOH navigates a vast sea of cultures in search of something it can truly call its own—a piece of driftwood to hold on to, and from which to shape its own identity.
